- An initial, free, no obligation consultation. This will give you the opportunity to meet me and to discuss in full the type of service I can offer you. It is important that you are comfortable and have a rapport with whomever you choose as a Celebrant.
- I only perform one ceremony a day. So my sole focus is on your ceremony.
- I will guide you in the completion of all legal paperwork.
- Lodgement of all legal paperwork, including a Notice of Intended Marriage form which must be completed at least one month prior to the ceremony. This form can be completed up to eighteen months prior to the wedding. In certain circumstances a shortening of time can be granted. If needed I can guide you through the necessary process.
- A personalized ceremony.
- I have an extensive range of readings and poetry to help enhance your ceremony.
- There are many wonderful rituals available to help further enrich your ceremony i.e. candle lighting, rose ceremony, handfasting, sand ceremony, butterfly releases etc.
- I have a non-intrusive PA system to ensure your guests hear all the ceremony.
- A free on-site rehearsal - strongly recommended.
- I can also provide a signing table, cloth and 2 chairs with covers and sashes, if required.
- A beautifully presented full copy of the ceremony in your choice of cream or silver.
- I am extremely flexible re: appointment times and am happy to meet with you after hours.
- Prior to the wedding I am available via phone or email to answer any questions which may arise.
- My aim is to help ensure your ceremony is as stress free as possible.
Renewal of Vows - This is an opportunity to re-affirm the commitment you made to each other on your wedding day. Renewal of Vows ceremonies are often performed on or around special anniversaries. It also affords you the opportunity to perhaps do things differently. Sometimes when we marry we are busy trying to please both sides of the family. A Renewal of Vows allows you to have the ceremony you want. I was recently flown to Bali to perform a Renewal of Vows for a couple that married quietly earlier in the year. And also if you have children, it allows them the opportunity to be involved. Children love to be included in special occasions such as these.
Namegiving Ceremonies - To welcome a new addition to the family. A Namegiving Ceremony is an alternative to a Christening or Baptism. Instead of water, rose petals are sprinkled on the baby's head. It is an opportunity to acknowledge Grandparents and their role in the baby's life. There are many other rituals that can be performed and I am happy to have a free no-obligation meeting with you to discuss these options.
Commitment Ceremonies - Commitment Ceremonies can be for couples who wish to commit to each other but do not want the formality of a wedding. They are also performed for same sex relationships. A Commitment Ceremony allows a couple to publicly declare their commitment to each other, before their family and friends. At this time it is not possible to legally perform a Civil Union in Australia for same sex couples.
Funeral Celebrant - As a trained Funeral Celebrant I believe that funerals should be a celebration of the life that has been lived and an opportunity to support the deceased's loved ones. If you would like me to conduct your loved ones funeral, you can either contact me directly, or inform your funeral director that you would like Anne-Maree Ryan (formerly known as Anne Leaver) to conduct the service for you.
